Welcome Dave Meldahl

We are very pleased to announce that Dave Meldahl, M.Ed. has joined the think2perform team as Sr. Vice President as of October 7th, 2013.

Dave has a belief that aligns superbly with think2perform: his conviction is that developing great leaders and teams is a strategic choice. It’s a choice that if committed to, has the power to drive phenomenal AND sustainable results while separating organizations from their competitors.

In early 2008, Dave founded Meldahl Leadership Development through which he provided leadership and team development services (coaching, training, consulting) to leaders and organizations across the country and in varied industries (e.g. software, biotech, retail, financial services, healthcare, government, non-profits). Starting from the ground up and amidst the headwinds of the Great Recession, Dave’s consulting business thrived, growing significantly each year.

For some added fun and to fulfill a life-long aspiration, while running his leadership development business Dave taught the Leadership Foundations course at Montana State University for as an adjunct faculty member.

To channel his inner Twain, he pens a quarterly leadership-focused column for the Bozeman Chronicle’s Business Journal.

Prior to 2008, Dave worked at Ameriprise Financial/AEFA/IDS for over 24 years. During the last ten years at Ameriprise, as a Region Director and internal consultant, Dave’s work focused on implementing change, and developing sales leaders and their teams across the Ameriprise sales organization. Earlier roles included stints in Employee Relations, Field Real Estate andSales/Leader Staffing.

Dave married his college sweetheart – Cyndi – and they have been married for 29 years and counting. After 17 years in Minneapolis, they moved to Bozeman, MT in 2000. They have two kids in college at Montana State – Andrew is finishing a Master’s degree in Accounting before beginning his work at KPMG in Denver and Elise is studying to become a middle-school teacher.

Dave (and Cyndi) love to golf, enjoy wine with friends and swish down the slopes of Montana’s mountains during the winter. Dave currently serves as Committee Chair of the Montana/Wyoming Young Life ministry for high school kids.

Dave’s education includes a B.A. in Psychology and Communications from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) and a M.Ed. in Human Resource Development from St. Thomas University (Minneapolis, MN).

Please join us in welcoming Dave to the think2perform team!  You can reach him at dmeldahl@think2perform.com.
